  1. It is so simple. People always over complicate and overthink everything when trying to lose weight. If you want to lose weight, walk for half an hour in the morning, walk for half an hour in the evening. Be strict with what you eat. Eat a high protein, high fibre diet. Lots of lean meats and vegtables. Chicken, turkey, fish. Have nuts , protein bars, protein shake as snacks. It really isn't that complicated. CUT OUT ALL SUGAR. STOP SMOKING. STOP DRINKING. It really is pretty easy.

  2. All I know Doc is that 40 years ago I first heard about calories in versus calories out. I started counting my daily calories and kept it around 1500 calories a day to get down to my goal weight These days it's much easier with apps like MyFitnessPal. I eat the foods that I like and eat mostly whole foods. That is simply because you get more satiety for fewer calories that way. I am never hungry. My weight has stayed at the recommended level of 185 except for one time when I stopped counting my calories for about 6 months. These days I eat between 2000 and 2,200 calories per day to maintain my weight. People have asked me what my secret is for staying at weight. All I can say is that it is a matter of persistence.
P.S. – I threw out my bathroom scale decades ago. I simply monitor the notches in my belt to see how I am doing. The only time I get weighed is when I go for my physical.
