  1. Growth hormone is great when used sensibly at doses between 1 to 2 iu per day for women and 2 to 5 iu in divided doses in men.
    And it is widely used by athletes especially in bodybuilding and power lifting.
    All the mentioned side effects may be true but it is person and dose dependent.
    Doses above 4 units can cause insulin resistance. This can be identifies and treated with long acting insulin esp if you are eating a lot of food with it.
    Increases blood pressure just because of GH is rare and any power or strength athlete should keep checking his blood pressure anyway.

    Gh usually doesnโ€™t do much by itself except some fat loss. It has to be stacked with anabolic steroids for it to work well. It causes muscle hyperplasia rather than hypertrophy(as it converts to igf 1 in the liver)

    And one last thing it is not testable in most doping tests.
